Lifespan & Cleaning Care for Perforated Film
Outdoor lifespan depends on sun exposure, climate, film grade, and laminate. Many commercial perforated films are marketed in multi-year outdoor ranges; harsh sunbelts and south-facing glass shorten the useful print life sooner than mild climates.
Cleaning habits that help
- Use mild soap and water with a soft cloth
- Avoid abrasive pads that scuff the print face
- Do not blast high-pressure water at edges and holes
- Skip solvent cleaners unless the film maker lists them as safe
Edges lift first when dirt and moisture sit in the perforation pattern. Gentle, regular cleaning usually beats occasional aggressive scrubbing.
