What Is Perforated (One-Way Vision) Window Film?
Perforated window film — often called one-way vision or see-through graphics — is adhesive vinyl punched with a pattern of tiny holes. From outside, printed artwork looks solid. From inside during daylight, you can still see out through those holes.
The effect comes from contrast: bright exterior light makes the printed face dominate for viewers outside, while your eye from a darker interior picks up the view through the open holes.
Where people use it
- Storefront windows that need branding without blocking the view out
- Vehicle rear windows and side glass (check local rules)
- Building wraps on glass façades
What it is not
Perforated film is not clear window cling, and it is not solid blackout vinyl. If you need a fully opaque graphic or night-time privacy without interior lighting considerations, solid materials are usually a better fit.
